My Workshops...
For Ages: 7-10
Duration:60 mins
As the name suggests, this is where I teach how to make some magic tricks. I also teach how to perform the tricks successfully. The age group will determine just how many and what tricks are taught. Generally there are tricks involving such items as special magicians rope, money, paper clips, cups and balls, playing cards, paper bags, etc. Participants take home all that they make to perform for their family and friends. Generally the workshop goes for an hour and will cater for up to 25 participants by myself or I can accommodate more if there are other helping hands.
These workshops are very popular in libraries where I usually teach classes of 25 children at a time. If you are a Library and would like larger size classes then I can accomodate that with the help of staff. Please discuss numbers at time of booking.
For Ages: 11-15
As the name suggests, this is where I teach how to do some fast magic! It is targeted to 11 to 15 year olds and requires a higher level of dexterity than the 'Making Magic Workshop'. Participants learn some really cool and sneaky magic to fool all ages. Importantly, I also teach how to perform the tricks successfully. The age group will determine just how many and what tricks are taught. Generally the tricks consist of putting everyday objects to use to perform magic. It's ideal for those budding magicians who want to be able to turn a hand to magic in everyday situations. Participants take home all that they receive to perform for their family and friends. Generally the workshop goes for an hour and caters for up to 15 participants.
For Ages: 8 to Adult
A great time is had by all at one of my balloon twisting workshops. Balloon twisting is a great for building dexterity and confidence. Participants learn how to make two types of puppy dog, a sword, flower and other models if time allows. I have run these for community groups and as part of school holiday programs. Libraries seem to enjoy them as it can suit most ages. Could even be used in a work situation as a fun team building exercise. Fee includes all materials required and the participant can keep all their models.
