Are you a qualified magician?
Sadly Magician's do not get to go to 'Magician University' and gain a qualification. I have however become an authorised performer with the NSW Department of Education for my three school shows. This means I have had to audition infront of assessors to judge the calibre of my performance. I'm pleased to say I passed everytime I auditioned.
Do you work on Sundays?
Yes. I am a full-time professionl performer and depending on my scedule I am available most days.
Do you use any live animals?
I use a live rabbit in most of my shows.
Do you do shows at private homes?
Yes I do. Most of my work is done in private homes.
Do you perform in parks?
Generally no. I may be persuaded for small local parks with good parking and easy access for my equipment. There needs to be an inclement weather alternative or a well protected undercover area to perform in that offers protection for all from the sun.
Why do you charge more than some of the other magicians I have spoken to.
There is no national standard set fee for a magic show. I am full-time and take a professional approach to my work. I have insurance and business expences and pay my taxes. I am not someone who works through the week and does a show on the weekend for a bit more income.
Why do you charge less than some of the other magicians I have spoken to?
I charge what I believe is a fair price for my customers and myself. I have been full-time for the past nine years and believe I have a hold on what is a fair price and what is not.
Do you have Public Liability Insurance?
Yes.
How far do you travel?
I generally travel all around NSW and Sydney. My prices will vary depending upon travel time.
Are your shows funny?
Yes. Too funny sometimes! I have had children fall over laughing and I have thought, "There goes my insurance!" But no one has ever been hurt.
Do you do the same show for every age group of children?
My shows vary depending upon the age of my audience. A five year old show would be very different from an eight year old show. And so forth for the different age groups.
Do you use volunteers in your show?
YES! They do the magic. I just watch in awe!!!
Do you do the show or do you send someone else?
I do the show.
What if you can't turn up on the day?
I have never left a customer without a show and I trust that never changes. When I have been too sick to perform I have always organised someone to take my place.
Do you offer a guarantee?
No not really. But I have never had to. I suppose my customers have always been very happy with my work. In fact most of my work comes from previous customers and the people they recommend me to.
Do you have people who can recommend you?
All the comments on my website are from genuine people. I could give people numbers to call but how would they know the people were genuine anyway?
